Alternatively, we can recover your existing upholstery with tailored or loose covers, repairing, repadding and replumping as required. Many people ask us if it is worth re-upholstering a sofa or a
chair or if it is simply cheaper to buy new.
Our view is that if you like the furniture, you find it comfortable, it has a sound frame and
was of good quality when you bought it, it is always worth doing. Springs can always be
repaired, arms repadded and seat cushions replaced if they have flattened, with the result
that the piece will look like new afterwards.

There are many companies offering loose covers, but as you would
expect, ours are tailored to your particular sofa or chair. We can either make
replacement covers, if you already have loose covers, or we can make covers to go over your
existing fitted covers.
For both re-upholstery and loose covers we normally like for you to look at our fabrics
first, then we will visit you to measure up and to look at the work required prior to sending
you a written quotation advising you of the labour costs and the amount of fabric required.
